Congratulations, Scott! Great exposure for what you are working on. If you ever need input from different countries, the social media class I teach at UC San Diego has international students - Brazil, India, Italy, Mexico, Sweden, South Korea, Japan, Germany, etc. Let me know!

Scott -- Nice work man and congrats on the front page. Very well deserved. I'm glad that you pointed out the variance between countries. The hot thing here in the US is of limited importance in Asia or Brazil. This makes audience identification crucial for global businesses.

Good exposure Scott. Beyond age groups, the regional and cultural differences in social media is very significant. I just came back from a trip from China, the ways people stay connected via social media and mobile devices there is quite different from US here. The opportunities are huge.

Scott - as the social media guy over at my company, I love reading about your experiences and tips. Always nice to see a fellow SM junkie sharing knowledge!

Congrats on the publicity, looks like it was well deserved :)

Lest you think there’s a limit to how you can connect with business and customer facing audiences, they have assembled this list of more than 35 companies who are experimenting with social media in a host of different ways. This list is by no means exhaustive, and it represents a wide variety of businesses, industries and social media tools. As you can see, engagement takes many forms. Some are likely to generate more discussions with the company while others might result better connections between customers.
